If you’re like me, you love almost anything that combines shooting and thought provoking creativity.
Normally that’s satisfied simply by a good range day with unexpected targets, and maybe a convoluted shooting challenge or two. But what about those days where you’re stuck inside — or worse — at the office??
Blooming just behind our backstops are wildflowers of the lead variety. Don’t believe me? Take a look at this:
Anthony Zambai creates bullet “flowers” from welded wire and projectiles splayed in a burst of petals after their final dive into the target. He carefully selects and gathers just the right blooms and, like any great florist, forms them into delightful bouquets.
They “grow” in a little pot with 22 brass casing “dirt” (the highest quality bullet flower bedding, of course), and you can bend the wire however you choose. They even have a protective coating between you and any potential lead. Though as an extra safety precaution, Mr. Zambai suggests washing your hands before you delve into any vittles.
So if you want to delight the shooting ladies in your life (or you’re man enough to set one of these ballistic bouquets on your desk with pride) you can snag them here. <— (and no, I don’t get any kick backs, money, or any nonsense like that from this link. I just genuinely like these little pew pew pots. And I genuinely enjoy sharing things like this with you, because chances are you’ll like them as much as I do.
As an artist myself, I sincerely appreciate supporting other artists, while bringing you neat little creations to inspire you on and off the range. If you like flowers and guns, you’ll enjoy my video Gardening With A Gun
So, do you have a creative project with shooting themed elements you’d like to share? I’d love to see it! Message me on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/kirstenjoyweiss) and in the first line of the message write “creative project” so I find it!
